This site aims to give an idea of what Art Therapy is and if it could be a good way forward for you, someone you know or perhaps for your workplace.
I am a qualified Art Therapist M.A., my private practice is based in Haringey, North London. I am registered to practice with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). As a member of the British Association of Art Therapists I follow its Code of Ethics of Professional Practice. I am an approved supervisor and private practitioner (BAAT).
Since qualifying 2003, I have worked as an Art Therapist with women, children, adolescents and their families. Alongside private practice, this work has taken place in organisations such as Women’s Aid, the Prison Service and NHS CAMHS School Therapy Services.
I adapt my approach to each person’s needs, integrating art therapy with trauma informed therapy, psychodynamic, attachment and EMDR based modalities. Research shows that key to the success of therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist rather than their experience or therapy style.
